US comedian DOUG STANHOPE caught up with Glasgow website ‘The Skinny‘ recently and they discussed his hate for London and what he thinks about the Scottish Government announcing plans for a referendum on the issue of Scottish Independence. The funny man did the phone interview from the comfort of his bath tub and dropped corkers such as:
“I hate London. I hate London more than anything in the world”
“I mean I don’t drink for the flavour but you guys drink like you’ve got a gunshot wound and you need to kill the pain immediately”
Write it up however you like and feel free to include giant lies! If you put in whatever you want, say that I said them, and I’ll back you up. Makes the creative writing process more fun”

Rock City Art Gallery in Bedford is hosting its first solo Exhibition as Paul Harries brings his hugely successful SLIPKNOT Exhibition outside of London for the very first time.
This is the perfect opportunity to display Paul Harries’ fascinating work that has taken him all over the world. This includes SLIPKNOT’s hometown of Des Moines, Iowa and as far away as Australia. Over forty photographs will be on display, including behind the scenes and previously unseen images, only possible due to the trust and respect SLIPKNOT has for Paul, allowing him exclusive access.
“Slipknot is not always the easiest band to capture in the true essence of photography and also not very easy to work with in the photo environment. Paul Harries has always been able to capture the band in its true form and has also been able to put up with all our bullshit that surrounds us night and day. Look at ‘the Knot’ as seen through the eyes of a true photographer, artist and friend.” Shawn Crahan aka Clown, Slipknot
Fans will be delighted to learn that entry to this event is completely free for the duration of the Exhibition!
Paul Harries will be hosting a seminar at the gallery on Saturday 10 th March 2012 from 4pm until 6pm where he will be sharing stories behind the photographs on display and discussing his photography with a Q&A session afterwards. Tickets for this event are available at
