Series 18 of Top Gear has certainly featured a stellar set of names, from Hollywood’s A-List (Ryan Reynolds, Michael Fassbender), million-selling music types (Will.I.Am, Alex James), stupendously quick TV stars (Matt Le Blanc) and even regenerating Time Lords who can travel through time (Matt Smith) – and with all these big names in mind, they definitely needed to end the current run in style. Thankfully, they found a Stoke-born, rock god just in time: SLASH. Not only did the mighty axeman feature in the ‘Stars In Reasonably Priced Cars‘ feature but his rendition of ‘Jessica’ as the show closed was a pretty awesome end to the series.
Check out some behind-the-scenes action as SLASH came to turns with the frankly horrendous conditions down at Dunsfold…

SOULFLY released ‘Enslaved’ yesterday, which is their eighth studio album and we’ll be posting reviews of the album throughout the week to give you a taste of what the press are saying about the album. Check out an extract from Ourzone’s review below:
Now on their 8th album, you know what to expect from Soulfly, and this outing doesn’t stray from their much trodden path of brutally heavy metal. But saying that, this is their best, most accessible release to date. During the 54 minute intense battering our ears receive, we experience relentless machine gun style drums from new guy David Kinkade, riffs bigger than Max’s home country Brazil, ridiculous solos and vocals which we’re sure left Max Cavalera in need of a fair few packets of Soothers. 8/10
