Georgia metallers MASTODON are set to release a 7″ featuring covers of tracks by The Flaming Lips and Feist to celebrate this year’s Record Store Day. The release features a cover of Wayne Coyne and co’s ‘A Spoonful Weighs A Ton‘ and Feist’s ‘A Commotion‘ – Feist has in turn covered MASTODON‘s ‘Black Tongue‘ for her own Record Store Day release.

This year’s Record Store Day takes place on April 21 and you can find more information about the releases by clicking here.

MASTODON released their fifth studio album ‘The Hunter’ on Roadrunner last year and the band will be performing their new album from start to finish at this year’s Sonisphere Festival.
