Rolling Stone magazine placed guitar-wielding SLASH at number 65 on their list of ‘The 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time’ in 2011, with his opening riff on Sweet Child O’ Mine and powerful solo in November Rain being among rock’s most memorable moments. Born Saul Hudson in Hampstead, London in 1965, SLASH grew up in Stoke-on-Trent before moving to Los Angeles. He stopped by Ronnie Wood’s studio not so long ago to reflect on his love of music, which has led him to worldwide acclaim with his bands Guns N’ Roses, Slash’s Snakepit and Velvet Revolver.
Listening to his favourite songs, Ronnie and SLASH share their passion for rock ’n’ roll as SLASH compiles a soundtrack which affirms both his enduring enthusiasm for music after more than 30 years in the business and, moreover, his love of the guitar.
